On the opening page of my December Daily album I used a photo of some of my Christmas decorations (decorated lanterns) matted with red cardstock. I digitally added a poem and an edge brush to the photo. I added Thickers for the year (covered in Glossy Accents to keep the glitter from getting everywhere). The patterned paper label shape backing the year is actually the back of the following page, but it provided a perfect spot for the chipboard numbers.

Love it! It's beautiful! Are you using a page protector or a clear page to mat this photo? I can't tell. TFS!
This photo is mounted on a page protector. I added tranparencies to the insides of all my page protectors so that they could be used as clear pages, instead of page protectors.
