Donna Downey's Fabric Scrapbooking Class

As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I had a BIG 30-something birthday this year. CHA was nice enough to schedule its first ever consumer show, right here in central Florida, just for me on my birthday. And because of CHA, I got to celebrate with Tim Holtz and Donna Downey.

Here are some photos of the album I created in Donna Downey's fabric scrapbooking class. I'll be posting photos of Tim's classes over the next few days.

Cover: I guessoed the cover (including ribbon) during the class and painted it after I got back home. I added the white dots with a Sharpie paint pen. Obviously, I haven't finished it yet. Inside Cover: After I got home I covered the inside cover with a piece of fabric that makes me VERY happy.

All of the inside pages were created in class, some are more complete than others.
The class was 5 hours long and I was EXHAUSTED at the end and we still didn't get everything done! Here are a few photos from class:

I am curious as to how to you attached the pictures, text and such. I am guessing textile medium. I am tryin to order her book as I live in Canada and cannot attend her course. Your book looks great!

I believe I used Fabric-Tac, a REALLY strong fabric glue that I buy at Jo-Ann's but I am sure is available elsewhere. It's a tad pricey ($10 a bottle) but goes a LONG way. Good luck. And keep an eye out on my blog, I'm planning to use Donna's album as the base of my December Daily album this year, so more to come!
