What have I been doing for 2 weeks?

Putting together my first acrylic album, it turns out. It took me a while to wrap my mind around, but I'm relatively happy with the results.

The album is composed of 8 x 8 sheets of acrylic I bought and had cut to size at Lowe's. I drilled the holes for the rings. Between each acrylic page is a transparency page. My photos were getting scratched by elements on the facing acrylic page so I solved this problem by adding transparency pages between all of the acrylic pages.

The subject is "Aspects of Me", here is the cover:
The inside of the cover is the definition of "aspect", the entire album plays off of portions of this definition:

aspect, noun - appearance to the eye or mind; nature, quality, character; a way in which a thing may be viewed or regarded, interpretation, view; part, feature, phase.

The first transparency presents the subject of the first page "to the eye".
Page 1:
The second transparency presents the subject of pages 2 and 3 "to the mind".

Page 2 contains my favorite poem:

Listen to the mustn’ts, child
listen to the don’ts.
Listen to the shouldn’ts,
the impossibles, the wont’s.
Listen to the never haves,
then listen close to me.
Anything can happen child,
anything can be. - Dr. Suess

Page 3 contains another Suess-ism:

"Today you are you. That is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you."

The third transparency contains the subject of pages 4 and 5 "character".

Page 4 is a picture of me with my fuchsia highlights:

Page 5 contains some "very me" Garfield strips:
The fourth transparency contains the subject of pages 6 and 7 "nature":
Page 6 is awaiting a photo. I left it blank because I don't have any photos that I "love" right now, other than those I've already included. It won't stay blank long.
Page 7 contains some of my "artsy" photos. The letter stickers spell out "artistic"
The fifth transparency presents the subject of pages 8 and 9 "viewpoint". The letter stickers spell out "Hawaii".

Page 8 contains one of my favorite quotes, "I can not know where I most wish to be, because I have not see all there is to see" (RA Salvatore):
Page 9 contains pictures from California and Florida, two of the places I've lived.
The sixth transparency presents the subject of Pages 10 and 11 "regard". The words around the edge of the transparency are clear word stickers.
Page 10:
Page 11:
The seventh transparency presents the subject of Pages 12 and 13 "part".
Page 12 is a picture of flowing lava in Hawaii. The letter stickers spell out "The beginning and end of all things":
Page 13 contains pictures of me doing my job as an engineer and a geologist:
The back cover is currently blank but there is a devious plan a foot in my home of getting a picture of my "derrier" to add to the back with the words "THE END". I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for looking.

LOVE this - I really like the idea of putting a transparency in between each page - it adds another level of art to the book. Thanks!
