Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!!!

I have so much planned for 2009, I don't know where to start....

*****************************************

First, I'm doing PAD 2009. PAD stands for Photo-a-day. The basic premise is that you take one picture, every day, for a year and compile them into one album that becomes a "snapshot" of your life for a year. Creating Keepsakes has compiled a PAD kit called "Project 365", however, I have decided to create my own version of the album. Mine will consist of 52 bound manila folders (letter sized office folders), one for each week of the year. I plan to alter each folder to create a very unique art journal of my 2009.

I will be blogging my daily PAD photo all year. Here is today's: This is a rather friendly armadillo we met while hiking at Alafia River State Park. I actually had to move out of his way so he could continue rooting for bugs in his preferred direction.

I will also be blogging my weekly altered folders, so stay tuned. At the end of the year, I will show you how to bind all of the folders into a book with chipboard covers.

*********************************************

Second, I will be starting my 2009 technique series shortly. The subject of the January technique series will be.......(drum roll).......DIGITAL. So during the month of January I will be presenting 3-5 digital techniques for paper scrappers. You'll definitely want to check these techniques out, even if you're not tech-savvy. They're easy techniques that give you cool results. Again, stay tuned.

*********************************************

Third, Have you picked your "One Little Word" for 2009 yet? If you haven't heard about this project, see Ali Edwards' post here. My "one little word" for 2009 is EXPLORE. This word has two major meanings for me this year. First, I'm determined to get out and explore the place where I live a little more. Hiking today in a park we've never been to, for example. Second, I want to explore my creativity and artistic ability a little more. To that end, I will be starting mixed media painting classes in January. I'm sure I'll be blogging more about those!

So, what's your "One Little Word"?

********************************************

Fourth, I'm diligently working on finishing my 2008 Holiday Album. Look for a post of the completed book soon.

********************************************

Lastly, I want to talk about New Year's resolutions, but I think I'll post about those tomorrow as this post has already gotten out of hand.

Happy New Year!!!!

Wow do you have a lot going!

I'm still debating the 365 Project. Yep, I know it's day two of the year. I did get pictures yesterday, will sit here and get one for today until I figure out if I'm going to do it myself. I can't WAIT to see how you do it. :)

I wish I could pick just one word for the year. I'd really rather pick the saying, "Live, Laugh, Love" instead of just a word. Ahh well, it's all up to the individual anyhow. :)

I found your blog while browsing. I am also doing project 365 as a photo a day. I am more of a journaler than a scrapbooker, so I have decided to turn my photos into a journal. Best of luck in your photography!
